The top three hotels to spend Christmas in New York City…

What do you say we spend the holidays in the Big Apple? Three different hotels to stay in New York, the city that never sleeps.

In Midtown: AC Hotel New York Times Square

New opus of the Marriott group, the first New York AC opened its doors on the outskirts of Times Square. An ultra-design concept with a lobby dressed in an XXL work of art and 290 rooms with a refined decoration. The rooftop is home to the Castellet lounge bar with a magical view of a forest of skyscrapers. Outdoors and indoors, you can enjoy a fresh salad, share plates, or savour a signature gin cocktail. We also have dinner and lunch at the Boqueria, a table with Spanish culinary accents.

Plus : Here and there, works of art, sculptures and paintings by local artists. And, in the rooms, iconic photos of Manhattan.

Price: from 150 € per double room.

The address: 260 West 40th Street.

In Brooklyn: The Hoxton Williamsburg

After Paris, London, Amsterdam…, New York has its Hoxton. Same cool and user-friendly concept. Its 175 rooms overlooking the skyline are equipped with a library stocked with local residents. DJ in the lobby, where you can have a drink by the fireplace. Calmer atmosphere at Klein’s, which offers typical dishes revisited (grilled feta with garlic). To sip a cocktail outside, the Backyard terrace, with a ping-pong table, or the Summerly rooftop, which will open on sunny days.

Plus: the building was built on the former wooden tank factory. And, the complimentary breakfast is served in a paper bag containing a banana, homemade muesli and fresh orange juice.

Price: from 150 € per double room.

The address: 97 Wythe Avenue.

At Madison Square Garden: Innside New York NoMad

North of Madison Square Garden (NoMad), in the flower and antique district, 313 brightly decorated rooms and 8 suites, some of which have terraces with panoramic views. The Wilson’s, home of chef Jeff Haskell, is becoming the place to be for his inventive cuisine: crispy oysters, grilled vegetable tacos or aioli burgers. Without forgetting its terrace with its removable roof and its giant vegetal mural fresco.

The best part: the view from the back of the building on a series of cisterns, so typical of the city.

Price: from 200 € per double room.

The address: 132 West 27th Street.
